What a great year we’ve had at Future Possibilities for Kids! We have news to share, all of it good.
With the recent – and highly successful – graduation day for the Ready, Set, Goal! program behind us, our sights are now set on significant expansion of FPK and RSG! in the upcoming year. Our Strategic Plan is looking at 50% growth in the number of Future Possibilitarians in our 2014-15 program.
If you haven’t seen it already, two of our treasured KidCoaches have launched a leading-edge initiative. They have created a ‘crowdfunding’ campaign to support that 50% participant growth. Check it out here.
The news gets better. On June 2nd, Rickesh Lakhani will be joining Future Possibilities for Kids in the role of Executive Director. Rickesh has been volunteering with FPK since 2006 in a variety of roles including KidCoach, Team Lead, Program Coach and Ready, Set, Inspire! Planning Committee. Rickesh was inspired by FPK since the very beginning because of the amazing people involved, the incredible program and the positive changes in the lives of Kids and volunteers that he has seen over the years. Rickesh brings with him extensive fundraising and leadership experience, most recently serving as Director, Campaign for United Way York Region, leading an annual $8M fundraising campaign for social services in York Region.
Rickesh is excited to work with the Board of Directors, community and corporate partners, volunteers and donors to lead FPK’s strategic directions and, ultimately, help more Kids reach their potential. FPK Canada founder, Geri Berholz, is delighted to continue to support Rickesh in his new role, and the entire organization, going forward.
Thank you for your support of FPK – we look forward to keeping you updated on the next exciting chapter.
