Willowdale Animal Hospital cares about the community

For many households, a pet is a member of the family like any other. You love them, you take care of them and would do anything to keep them happy and healthy. There are few people who understand this as well as Dr. Jonathan Bloom, Partner at the Willowdale Animal Hospital. They are committed to providing round the clock care for animals when they need it, and they are an important part of the community.

For their team, though, it’s about more than just providing top quality animal care. They understand the important role they play in being an active and contributing member of their local neighbourhoods.

“We believe that taking care of each other, whether it’s animals or people, should be part of what you do as a business,” says Dr. Bloom. “Our team here embraces and understands this, and we regularly support many initiatives to help others.”

To support Kids achieving their true potential, the Willowdale Animal Hospital has been running a campaign in support of Future Possibilities over the summer until the end of September. They are asking staff and customers to support FPK’s growth in the upcoming 2014 year to help an additional 60 Kids from underserved GTA communities join the Ready, Set, Goal! program to increase their confidence, leadership, self-awareness, and community involvement. What is most inspiring and generous is that the Willowdale Animal Hospital is matching every donation that is made!

A great tie-in is that many Kids that have been part of FPK have accomplished goals that support animal welfare and care, such as running a pet food drive, or creating and promoting an adopt-a-pet campaign in support of local animal shelters.

“The Willowdale Animal Hospital is proud to support Future Possibilities for Kids, and we invite other local businesses to join us and help grow the next generation of leaders,” added Dr. Bloom.
